Heart attacks are #1 killer of both women and men in the USA today. We are raising money to place two AED's in our community. In the fall of 2017 family and friends, neighbors and colleagues, and the professionals - EMT's, nurses, and doctors, rallied round us with love, care and prayers after two major cardiac events in our family. This is our way of giving back. Only 10% of men and women survive a major heart attack like we experienced. Seconds do indeed save lives!
With the assistance of the York Ambulance Association we are working to purchase two devices that will match those used in all town vehicles; cruisers, fire trucks, etc. One will go to the York Public Library, which has none, and the other to St. George's Episcopal Church, both places where children and older citizens are frequent visitors.
