Gigi has been around for the last two and a half years... a feral cat who's blind in one eye with cardiac and serious dental issues with an unfortunate additional diagnosis of FIV.
He's come and go with some serious trust issues.. but he has tried his best to survive on his own.. with constant injuries... he has bled on our front porch; he has laid around at a distance with no energy and massive weight loss due to sustaining serious injuries at a time.. With many close calls of not making it.. My family and I have tried multiple times to catch him and it's never worked out and so we continued to do our best --- loving and caring for him at a distance.
For those of you who know me, you know that meeting Kitty Kitty changed my life during COVID and I've made a promise to her that I'd help her and her other furry friends if and when I'm able.. that would be the legacy she left behind.
Gigi deserves a second chance at life as he's lived most of his life outdoors in hot humid summer and cold, harsh winters given how feral he was when he first started coming around.. he deserves to live out the rest of his life in a calm and nurturing environment with lots of love to be received.
Gigi was finally secured back in October of 2024 and I've been caring for him and following his first ever appointment to try to turn his health around, we discovered all his cardiac issues. He still has ways to go but the next steps in his treatment plan involves pre-operational scans and blood work. With his cardiac issues, the ultrasound and tests will help us verify if he is even a candidate for dental surgery and if not, how we can manage his heart issues.
From there the surgery will also be costly. Unfortunately the FIV diagnosis also involves the need for him to be neutered to prevent potential spread to my other cat Stewy.. another distinguished gentleman that I saved and have been happily with me the last two and a half years.
Any financial assistance to raise the end goal of $2000.00 (which includes, cardiac ultrasound, neuter and dental surgery and post op care/medications) would be greatly appreciated in providing sweet Gigi a second chance in a loving furever home with Stewy and I.
Much love, Gigi, Stewy and Lili
