SECOND YEAR WAAPA ACTORS - TRIP TO FIJI 2023

Hi! we are the Acting Class of 2024 at WAAPA and we are raising money for our study tour to FIJI in May 2023.

We will be taking a group-devised movement work 'Between Us: Kei Veda' to Suva and we will be working with THE OCEANIA CENTRE FOR ARTS, CULTURE AND PACIFIC STUDIES, of the University of South Pacific. The work will be realised alongside our Head of Movement Sam Chester and Tokelauan Fijian storyteller Emele Ugavule. The work also features WAAPA music student Celloist Zoe Hawksworth.

So we need to raise up to $3500. This will contribute to flights, accommodation and artist fees while we are and there and this money will especially get our wonderful classmate SUKYEONG SHIN on the plane.

Any amount that you can spare will go a long way in supporting this amazing cross-cultural experience and the building of new artistic relationships with our south pacific friends.

저희는 2023년 5월에 피지에서 진행될 프로젝트를 준비중에 있습니다.

Sam Chester 와 토켈라우안 피지의 스토리텔러 Emele Ugavule와 함께 고안한 움직임 작품 ‘The History of Emotion’을 수바에 있는 남태평양 대학의 오세아니아 예술, 문화, 태평양 연구 센터에서 나눌 예정입니다.

이 프로젝트를 서포트하기 위해 500만원 가량의 모금을 진행중입니다 ! 모아진 돈은 항공편, 그곳에 있는 동안의 숙박비, 그리고 이 프로젝트에 참여할 모든 아티스트들, 그리고 특별히 신수경 학생에게 큰 도움이 될 것 입니다!
