I'm going to record a studio album in October. It's going to take a lot of help! And it's going to be just beautiful.
I'm Lizzy Shell, I'm a songwriter and performing artist, and I'm making my second album this year. It's been a wild four years since I recorded my first album, Seed, and I'm eager to get new music to your ears and minds and hearts.
My budget for the second album is a modified $16,000, scaling back even from what I tried to raise in March (unwittingly, right around the beginning of the main Covid outbreak in the States). I'm still working with the LA-based producer I was planning with back then, Chris Falson, and a super talented ensemble of musicians in the area. This budget has been re-calculated to cover the bare bones of session time with musicians, studio rental, production fees, and hopefully the inevitable unforeseeable extra costs that spring up during any creative project!
I'm so grateful for the support and encouragement I've received over the years, the times that y'all have shared what songs mean to you, the joyful experiences of playing and hearing music together in shared spaces. I can't wait to be with you again. In the meantime, I'm ready to share these songs that mean so much to me. I hope they find meaning in your story, too.
