Second line and memorial for Ben Hudnall!
My name is Nick Tynes and will be handling this for Ben's mom Mrs. Rita Breath. As most of you already know our dear friend, brother, hippie, marine, and so many more wonderful things, Benjamin Hudnall was taken from us way too soon. He passed of some sort of freak natural cause that was related to the traumatic brain injury he suffered years ago. Thank you to everyone that has reached out during these tough times and for sharing all of the wonderful stories about Ben. I have been getting messages and phone calls from all around the world and there is one consistent part of every story. Everyone loved Ben, he loved everyone back and not one person has had a bad thing to say or memory about him. I have been sharing all of these wonderful stories, posts, and pictures with his mother, as I see her almost daily. Unfortunately, we will soon have to have a celebration of life for our best friend. We are planning a memorial service at Mrs. Rita's house in Mandeville, Louisiana, on Saturday, August 14. We are also organizing a second line starting near the Maple Leaf on Oak Street in uptown New Orleans on Sunday, August 15. We all know that Ben will want us to be having a blast through these events and of course costumes are encouraged. For those of us that know Ben well, and his love for Prince, I would also encourage people to wear purple if not a costume. This is a difficult time for all of us, and of course, there will be tears, but let's do what Ben would want and party and celebrate his life. Any donation of any size would be greatly appreciated to help cover the expenses his mother has incurred, to help finance the catering for the memorial and the band for the second line. I will post times for both events as soon as I have them in the near future. And please leave a comment if you are planning on attending either or both events, so we can get some sort of headcount. Please feel free to message me on Facebook if you have any questions or need anything and PLEASE send any and all pictures you may have with Ben. Sending peace, love, and hugs to all of you!
