Hi we’re Kristen and Brodie, we’ve had quite the journey when it comes to growing our family. Our first child was an emergency c-section, he then had to get transferred to a hospital 1h50min away and there wasn’t a bed for Kristen. So we were apart for about 34 hours by the time we were able to get to the other hospital. We were blessed with a second child during covid, and during the anatomy ultrasound our ob informed us that our baby had two holes in his heart, a short nasal bone, and on top of it that she highly advised against the natural labour Kristen was very set on. The reasoning was because the first ob who did her c-section had cut too low, and cut into her cervix leaving a scar behind. She informed us that as soon as Kristen felt any type of labour pains to immediately get to the hospital as she didn’t want her contracting at all as the risk of rupturing the scar and bleeding out. We have tried to get to the bottom of it but our health care is completely trash, we are currently booked to get an ultrasound down in the US. In the mess of everything it basically coerced us into Brodie getting a vasectomy as we were also told the risks of multiple c-sections grew each time, so with all the trauma and stress of that pregnancy we thought getting a vasectomy was the right path. Along with how normalized our healthcare made that seem, we are trying to raise some money to help fund a trip again to the US to get a vasectomy reversal at a clinic that specializes in reversals, and don’t participate in doing vasectomies. They also have their own patented procedure, to reroute the tubes if they don’t like the count.
