Seckou Keita Foundation - Help us buy an ambulance
Donation protected
Why an ambulance?
Bagaya is a settlement in Southern Senegal with a small health centre. There are ambulances in neighbouring regions but it can take hours for them to arrive and is expensive, so pregnant women, children and other patients resort to using motorcycles to get to the nearest hospital, 19kms away. Two young people have recently lost their lives as emergency transport was not available. An ambulance owned and maintained by the Bagaya Health Centre will offer free emergency transport for the local community and save lives.
