Seb's Memorial Cardi-Packs

It is with total shock and absolute heartbreak that we share the news of our beautiful Sebastian’s passing. On Tuesday Morning 16/11/2021, aged 20 years he fought his final fight.

 

Sebastian was born with 2 rare congenital heart disorders and required numerous surgeries, including 3 open heart procedures, throughout his life.

 

One of Sebastian's most admirable traits was his compassion for others, which is why it was no surprise that he decided for his 18th birthday he wanted to put together “Seb’s Cardi-Packs”; care packs full of essential items for young cardiac patients and their families during their hospital stay.

 

Thanks to the generosity and donations from family, friends and kind strangers, Sebastian, with the help of his family, was able to create 30 of his Cardi-Packs and delivered them to families in the cardiac ward of the Queensland Children’s Hospital on his 18th birthday, September 17th, 2019.

 

Following the humbling experience, Sebastian expressed his desire to continue supporting young cardiac patients and their families, annually on his birthday. However, unfortunately the pandemic of COVID-19 limited his ability to do so and placed that dream on hold for the last two years.

 

For this reason, his family would love to see his memory live on by continuing to put together these packs annually on Sebastian's birthday in his honour, specifically on September 17th, 2022 for what would have been his 21st birthday, so that he may continue to spread his sunshine for years to come. In lieu of flowers and sympathy gifts, we ask that support or donations of any kind be extended to Seb’s Cardi-Packs. Sebastian's family sincerely thank all those who have already reached out, supported and sent love during this tough period.
