Sebrenia's First Mission Trip

Being from a Christian household, I always knew Jesus. I talked to him, I heard about him, I read about him. But, it wasn't until I began my college journey that my relationship with Him became real for me. I was drowning in the excitement of college living and finding solace in the lie that I could get my relationship with God right "tomorrow". Almost 2 years later I woke up in the body of a young lady I didn't know. One that hadn't opened a bible in months, spent every weekend partying, and looked more like her friends than she did herself. In March of 2017, I pulled myself out of the pit I was living in and attended my first service at Engage Church in Tallahassee, Florida. Here, I began learning and growing under the leadership of people who care deeply about the Body of Christ and the Tallahassee Community. Over the next year, through serving at Engage and participating in some of their amazing programs for personal development, I built a strong community of friends and mentors that have helped catapult me to new levels in my relationship with God. Now, through the incredible opportunity given to me by Engage, I am ecstatic to share the Joy of the Lord with others on a week-long mission trip in July!
