Sebastian's Yale Summer Program
Donation protected
Hello everyone! My name is Sebastian Ericson, and I'm a student at UWC Red Cross Nordic; an international boarding school on the coast of Norway. This last year has been the most challenging yet rewarding time of my life. Being a part of the UWC community has given me opportunities I would never have had otherwise.
This is why it feels so special to tell you all that I have been accepted for this years Biological and Biomedical Sciences session at Yale University! Among thousands of applicants from over 120 countries and all 50 US states, I was selected to participate in this summer course, a part of the Yale Young Global Scholars Program (YYGS ). This is truly a unique experience, and I am so eager to study my favourite subject in such a special setting. I am passionate about biology and I know I want to pursue it as a career. I hope to take part in creating sustainable solutions to the problems we face today. The only way we can truly do this is through global cooperation, and I believe that YYGS is the perfect place to start.
However, I can't make it to the course without your help. The program has a tuition fee of $6,250. I have been granted a scholarship of $5,000, but there is still a long way to go. I need to pay the remaining fee (roughly $1,250) as well as fund transportation to the United States. I am not able to pay for this myself, and therefore I ask for your help. Every donation directly supports me in making it to YYGS. I will keep you updated on my progress, on social media and in a personal newsletter.
This is an opportunity I would never have dreamed of until recently, and I would be so grateful for your help.
Thank you!
Sebastian Ericson
