Sebastian is my 12-year-old nephew who suffers from anxiety. He was diagnosed with PTSD after undergoing several major heart surgeries for a congenital heart defect. Sebastian’s best friend is TEDDY, a sweet golden doodle that acts as his therapy dog. Teddy brings comfort and peace to Sebastian as he battles his ongoing medical problems.

On January 18, 2023, a car hit Teddy, which caused him to suffer several life-threatening injuries. Teddy was rushed to the emergency room where veterinarians worked all night and into the early morning to save his life. Thankfully, Teddy is alive and is currently on an oxygen incubator to release the pressure in his chest to allow his lungs to expand. Teddy’s oxygen treatment is very costly. It will take several weeks until Teddy can breathe on his own.

Sebastian is devastated and heartbroken. He is having a difficult time being apart from Teddy.
