Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of 17-year-old Sabestgen, who was taken from us far too soon due to senseless gun violence. Sabestgen was a kind, loving, and protective young man with his whole life ahead of him. He lost his life while courageously stepping in to protect his sister — that’s just the kind of person he was. Our family is struggling to process this tragedy, and his mother is especially heartbroken as she faces the unexpected costs of laying her child to rest.
