On May 23, 2022, I am very sad to report the passing of this young man. His mother raised him the best she could and as a soccer player I as well as many witnessed a member “Paco” not related by blood do his ultimate best to give him that father figure many strive for.
As a father of 6, I too as well as many had the opportunity to become his friend. When my wife and I started to date she would come to watch me play. Sebastian at the age of 9 would sit next to her talking his “player” skill. It was always very funny. Veterans of the league all knew him. He was our waterboy. He sold us our gatorade so he would have money in the pocket and we gave him the best possible advice in life.
Sadly we have no knowledge on the mind. Sebastian after years of struggle with many of the issues young people have to deal with took his own life at a very young age. Why? We don’t know. This is what will haunt us but their is an investigation ongoing.
As parents we need to talk to our children. Let them know everyday that everything has a solution. To not be overwhelmed by what society expects from them and unite with those that can be positive.
Sebastian was our friend. He was a member of the MBFC. Play or No Play didn’t matter. He will remain in our hearts and I am asking for your donation so we can deliver assistance to his mother. My client and also a friend. She called me often and always gave me the updates as he grew up.
