Seb Vona's COVID Recovery

Hi everyone. My name is Eddie and I am organizing this GoFundMe for my family. As many of you know, my father, Sebastiano Vona, is currently in the ICU on a ventilator due to severe complications from Covid-19. Slowly but surely, he is fighting hard to heal as soon as he can and his doctors and nurses are doing everything within their power to make it happen. For any of you who have visited Sebastiano's Restaurant during our 37 years in Hollywood, you must feel as we do how sad and strange it is to see the restaurant darkened, and know that Seb is not back there in the kitchen cooking the delicious dishes we all love. This has been a very difficult time for all of us, particularly my mother, Maria, who has been sick with worry. And so I am reaching out and asking our incredible community to help support my family. Any donations will go toward:

• Hospital Bills: my father has had several procedures done over the course of his one month stay in the hospital and it looks as though he has several more weeks left of hospital care ahead of him.

• Post-Hospital Care: due to the toll the virus has taken on his lungs and his long stay in the hospital, my father will need respiratory and physical therapy once he's eventually discharged and will probably not be able to immediately return to work.

• More Bills: as many of you know, the restaurant has been closed as it is difficult to operate without him, but the bills keep coming. Your donations will go to help pay rent, electricity for refrigeration, etc until we can get it up and running again. Plus, this will help my family with their home bills as well, as the restaurant was their main source of income.

Many of you have been asking how you can support my family during this difficult time. Your thoughts and prayers and devoted check-ins have been such a source of strength for my family and we feel extremely blessed to have been part a such an incredible supportive community for more than 35 years.
