Debate Nationals in Alaska!

We are pleased to announce that the University of Alaska Anchorage will host the 2015 United States Universities Debating Championship , set to occur on April 11th, 12th and 13th in Anchorage. Teams from across the US, representing schools like Harvard, Yale, Cornell and Stanford, will travel to Alaska to determine the best collegiate debate team of 2015.

The Seawolf Debate Program has a deep history of involvement with the USUDC, having won the national title  in 2005. As a program that regularly travels to the lower 48 to compete, it is our pleasure to bring intercollegiate debating to the Anchorage community by hosting one of the most prestigious tournaments of the year.

We need your help to make the tournament a success.  We hope that you value the skills, experiences and friendships that were part of your time with competitive speech and debate in Alaska.  Your support will fund the many projects of the Seawolf Debate Program and defray the cost of bringing this major event to our campus.

If you'd prefer to donate directly through the University of Alaska Foundation (and take advantage of the great tax benefits of doing so!) please visit our UA Foundation online giving site .
