Seattle Home Fire Recovery
Donation protected
On January 1st, we held each other closely on the sidewalk as we realized our home was destroyed by an electrical fire.
Above all else, we're grateful that everyone is safe and that no one was harmed in this incident. Though, due to the fire and smoke damage, we've lost nearly everything. Given these unfortunate circumstances, we are humbly asking for your support. The donations provided will help replace the necessities for Erika, Jen, and Trischa (e.g., linens, clothing, mattresses, laptops, books, basic furniture, instruments, etc.), as well as any other additional expenses we accrue as a result of the fire and our ongoing displacement. Any support would be greatly appreciated, whether donating to our GoFundMe page, sharing it with friends + family, or keeping us in your thoughts. We sincerely appreciate all of your support and thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Here’s a little bit about the people who called this place home:
Erika worked as a nanny for around seven years and had just accepted a position working as a children’s music teacher two days before the fire. The majority of Erika’s music equipment and materials were lost or damaged due to the fire but hopes to rebuild that collection. Passions include education, music, and any kind of creative endeavor. Thank you so much for all the support and love!
Jennifer is a California native and just moved to Washington this past summer. She recently called this place her new home just months before the fire happened. She invested a lot of time and energy into making this space feel more like home. She would love to continue creating a home here in Washington and would greatly, with humility, appreciate any form of support.
Trischa is a grad student at the University of Washington and a native Seattleite. She started Winter Quarter three days after the fire took place. Trischa lost her laptop, book collection, and school/art/design materials. In grad school, she is exploring her interests in psychology, digital media, UX Design, and entrepreneurship for mental health + wellness products and experiences. She plans to graduate this year and hopes to continue to design creative solutions that serve the community at large. Thank you for your kindness and support!
