Kauaʻi has been hit hard by Hurricane Lowell, and the damage to our island’s coastline, harbors, moorings, dive sites, and businesses will take time and a lot of helping hands to recover.

Sea Sport Divers is fortunate to be intact and able to spend our days working to restore these affected places. Our crew has been happy to volunteer our time and resources to help with cleanup and recovery efforts at Kōloa Landing, Kukuiʻula Small Boat Harbor, our dive sites, and the facilities we utilize and enjoy.

We have had community events that have been overwhelmingly successful. Volunteers from all diving operations, local fishermen, surfers, and an abundance of non-ocean users busted their asses for three days, coming together to help with the recovery.

The State and County have been working to respond to the widespread impacts of the storm, but the needs across Kauaʻi are enormous. With communities, roads, homes, businesses, parks, beaches, harbors, and other critical areas all needing attention, public resources and crews have understandably been stretched across the island.

This is where you can help.

Your financial support will allow us to put more resources directly into the recovery. 100% of all donations will go back into Kauaʻi’s ocean recovery efforts by providing money to pay local workers, purchase necessary equipment and materials, and get these areas cleaned, repaired, and functioning again.

This is an opportunity to get involved, be a part of the recovery, and be a part of the healing process. It’s an opportunity to rebuild these areas to be stronger, safer, and better than ever.

We are forever grateful to everyone who has already helped, volunteered, and checked in on the recovery efforts.

This year also marks 40 years of Sea Sport Divers being part of the Kauaʻi community. Having our community come together the way it has during this difficult time is a beautiful and incredibly meaningful way to celebrate that milestone. After 40 years on this island, there is no better way to celebrate than by giving back to the place and people who have given us so much.
