️‍⚧️A Journey from Afghanistan to Germany, Searching for Safety and Dignity

Hello, my name is A. (for safety reasons I can't write my full name here). I am a 28-year-old transgender woman from Afghanistan.

Throughout my life, I have faced discrimination, pain, and fear simply because of who I am.

Being a trans woman in Afghanistan meant living in constant danger — every day was a fight for survival. My family and society never accepted me, and I had to hide my true identity just to stay alive.

Despite everything, I chose to survive. I chose to fight for the right to be myself — to breathe freely and to live without fear. After a long and difficult journey, I am now in Germany, staying in a refugee camp.

But life here is still not easy. As a trans woman, I struggle to cover even my basic needs — clothing, hygiene products, transportation, and sometimes even a warm cup of coffee feel like luxuries.

On top of that, my health insurance doesn’t cover some of the essential treatments I need.

One of my biggest wishes is to begin laser hair removal, which is not only important for my appearance but for my mental and emotional well-being.

For me, this treatment is not just about beauty — it’s about healing, self-acceptance, and feeling comfortable in my own skin. Unfortunately, the costs are too high for me to afford on my own.

That’s why I’m starting this campaign.
