hi, this feels really uncomfortable to do, but i've had so many of you ask if there's any way you can help. we are doing EVERYTHING we can to find my boy. as most of you know he went missing from the property we're staying at in basile, louisiana on thursday 2/27. we have been using as many of your recommendations as possible including:
- continuing to walk the ENTIRE perimeter (and beyond) of where he was last seen (dense brush area)-- multiple times almost every day
- putting up missing signs & posters everywhere including an offer of a $500 reward
- going door to door to speak to neighbors directly and search their properties
- dropping worn clothing around the property to hopefully get him back this direction
- posting on every facebook group we can find, including our own (sooo many shares- thank you thank you thank you!)
- signed up and paid for a pawboost post that sends out info to a 10mi radius for 7 days
- hired a pet tracking organization, dog finding dogs
- hired a pet psychic that specializes in finding lost pets
- going to local animal shelters, hospitals
our next big task is hiring a thermal drone operator. we have finally gotten in contact with southern drone recovery (that SO MANY of you recommended) who is a couple hours away. he is trying to adjust his schedule to make this happen. (unsure of cost ATM, but this would likely be the biggest expense)
we also want to sign up for findtodo.com, which is similar to an amber alert for pets. ($250)
all of this has obviously been and continues to be costly. ONLY because so many of you have reached out to ask how you can help or donate, i'm putting this out. DO NOT FEEL OBLIGATED TO DO THIS, but if you would like to help this is where i could use it the most at this time.
