On Thurs Jan 22nd, Marie, a petite yellow lab mix who was recently adopted and new to the area was out for a stroll with her dog walker when she got spooked and ran away. With the retractable leash bouncing behind her, this already shy pup ran full steam, scared to death through North Brunswick NJ crossing highways. We haven't been able to get close enough to bring her home BUT she has been spotted in the area everyday since then! This 1-1/2 yrs young girl is sweet, but timid. Her last siting she was skin and bones. This poor pups footprints led to a dumpster she can't get into. This once loving dog is now alone in an unfamiliar place in the freezing  cold. We feel its time to call in the experts, but between taking time off work, gas and tolls etc., her foster moms funds are depleting quickly. She is from Staten Island and has been leading the search, but we need your help to bring in "the pet detective". We feel it's our best chance and would appreciate any help we can get more than you know! This pup survived temperatures in the teens and a blizzard! Let's get Marie home!
