Hello!  My name is Sean McKeown.  I am married to my wonderful wife Karen and have 2 kids, Madison who is 14 and Dylan who is 13. I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis when I was 19 years old.  I have lived with this debilitating disease for almost half my life.  There is no known cure for MS. 

Recently, I was approved for Stem Cell Transplant Therapy. This is the closest thing to a cure there is. I have tried many medications and therapies to help stop the progression of this disease. Unfortunately, none of them have worked.  

My MS has progressed from Relapsing Remitting to Primary Progressive.   I walk with the assistance of a cane every day.  I live with pain constantly.  I spent months in a wheelchair because I didn’t have the energy to walk short distances.  I also have drop foot and spasticity issues.  My legs constantly shake uncontrollably.  I am unable to stand long enough to take a shower.  It is very frusterating

Not everyone is approved or a good candidate for the Stem Cell Transplants but thankfully I am. This procedure could drastically change my life.  It could rid me of debilitating symptoms and give me parts of my body and life back. I dream of being able to go back to work, to do the day-to-day things that most people take for granted like being able to stand in the shower, and to have the energy to play with my kids.  I thank you for reading this and doing what you can to help make this happen for me.
