Sean Byrne, of qathet Refugee Sponsorship (qRS) is going to run the entire Sunshine Coast Trail - almost 180kms - on Sept 4,2021.. The trail is over 8000 metres of elevation gain and loss (Everest is 8900) and will take him somewhere around 30+ hours.

He hopes to raise $5000 to put towards sponsoring a refugee family to come and live in Powell River. The total cost will be upwards of $20,000, so anything above and beyond our goal is appreciated! Costs to relocate and settle a refugee family incorporate rent, food, furnishings, and other expenses for the first 12 months after their arrival.
