Hello, my name is Sean Henaghan, proud father of 3 and husband. On April 5, 2025 I found out that I was diagnosed with AML relapse and MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndromes - Blood cancer). Similar to the AML I was diagnosed with in 2011. MDS is a form of blood cancer that forms in the bone marrow. With no set treatment plan, or set time to return to work, my family and I are in for a tough battle both, emotionally and financially. We are collecting donations to help us ease our financial burdens and focus solely on my recovery. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts. UPDATES:

4/5: Went to the ER with shortness of breath, cough, bleeding gums, and overall fatigue. These symptoms were lingering for a few months and finally got to the point where I felt I had to go to the ER. I was transfused with 3 bags of blood, 1 bag of platelets, and admitted to the ICU with low white blood count, and low platelet count.

4/6: Blood counts stabilized enough to get downgraded into a regular hospital room.

4/7: First bone marrow biopsy to see what was going on with my blood counts and why they weren't recovering after receiving the transfusions.

4/10: Transferred to AdventHealth Blood and Marrow Transplant - Orlando.

4/11: Picc line put in my right arm. CT scan, and EKG.

4/12: Second bone marrow biopsy.

4/13: First round of IV Chemo. Preliminary diagnosis - MDS

4/14: Second round of Chemo, 1 bag of blood and platelets.

4/15: Third round of Chemo, 1 bag of platelets.

4/16: Fourth round of Chemo. No transfusions today. Feeling strong and hopefully going home soon!

4/20: Baby Kora Joy was born!

4/21: More blood and platelets, still trying to get my blood counts to stabilize.
