12 hours ago, my best friend died in a car accident in Florida. Now I am trying to find my way back home from Israel to go to his funeral. I am doing whatever I can to get back to see him for the last time. Any help is incredibly appreciated.
A note to my best friend:
It's hard to see such a friend become only a memory. My friendship with Sean was so full of adventure, uncontrollable laughter, and stories that make up such a large part of my childhood. I remember dreaming that we would one day have our drivers licenses, or trying our first beers, graduating high school, finding our ways through life.
Kung Fu movies were our inspiration and Bruce Lee was our master. Driving through the suburbs with music blaring was how we would imagine up the big lives we had ahead of us.
You were my best friend when we were growing up and it is a very hard goodbye. So instead I will say, I'll see you later, brother. I will never forget you, Sean Joseph Dortch .
