Sean Weber Medical Fundraiser- Liver Transplant
Our thirty-five year old son, Sean, was recently diagnosed with Liver Failure. He is currently being treated at University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas. Sean is undergoing a battery of tests to determine the cause and possible treatment options.
The initial determination by the doctors was that he would require a liver transplant. Sean and his wife, Ashlee, have a young son – Gibson, who just celebrated his 9th birthday.
We are looking at various plans that would assist in the cost associated with his care and treatment. At this point in time, Sean’s insurance coverage has not kicked in. He is self-employed and is not financially able to cover the extensive costs. We have been told that a transplant will cost approximately $500,000. Sean’s mother and I are doing everything we can to help, however we are retired and on a fixed income.
We are hoping that other parents will understand the fear that we feel of losing our son. Any contribution towards his care would be greatly appreciated.
On a personal note, Sean is a loving husband to Ashlee, his wife, and a wonderful father to his 9-year-old son, Gibson. It was a difficult time for Sean being in the hospital and apart from Gibson, as Gibson celebrated his 9th birthday this week. With the current COVID restrictions Sean can only have one visitor, so Ashlee has been at his side.
As his father, I am proud of the man Sean is. He is a loving father, son and brother. Sean has people in his life that need him and would be lost without him. He needs to be there for his son to watch him grow.
Thank you for reading this and please share Sean’s story.
