This summer, I’ve been invited to travel to Mexico City to offer music leadership for a faith formation retreat for teenagers by Bishop Sally Sue Hernandez and the Anglican Diocese there.
I’ll be leading music in Spanish, helping create spaces for connection, reflection, healing, and joy through worship and community. Beyond the retreat weekend itself, I also hope to spend time learning from and building relationships with local organizations and communities doing important work throughout Mexico City.
This opportunity feels deeply meaningful to me. Music has long been one of the ways I connect people across differences of language, culture, and experience, and I’m honored to be invited into this work.
I’m raising $1,500 to help cover:
-Airfare and travel expenses
-Expenses while in Mexico City
-A drum I’ll use during the retreats and musical gatherings
If you feel moved to support this trip, I would be incredibly grateful. Every gift—large or small—helps make this possible.
Most of all, thank you for being part of the community that supports the work I care about: creating spaces of compassion, spiritual connection, encouragement, and belonging through music.
With gratitude,
Sean Potts
(If you would prefer to make a tax-deductible donation, you can also give through Saint Anselm’s Episcopal Church and select “Support for Mexico Trip” in the dropdown menu.)
As donations come into Saint Anselm’s, I will adjust the total needed here at Go Fund Me.
