Sean Syme's Recovery Expenses
Donation protected
Our brother Sean is recovering from a 65-ft fall while he was rock climbing in Moab, UT, on 11/2/2021. He is an avid and experienced climber, but fell at the “1.5” pitch belay ledge on the Abraxas Tower. He was then life flighted to St. Mary’s Medical Center in Grand Junction, CO. With many prayers and miracles, he is alive. He had multiple surgeries on his lumbar spine, legs, feet, and abdomen, and will have more in the upcoming weeks. The blessing of this all is that he is awake and stable. His doctors and nurses are in awe of how he is still alive, but in our hearts we know our hopes and prayers were answered.
Sean was not expected to live, let alone have a chance of being able to walk again. In true "Sean fashion" he has defied the odds. He may be able to walk again, but it will be a long road to recovery. We understand the desire to support Sean from afar as his loved ones are spread out across the world. His surgeries are (thankfully) covered by insurance, so funds will go directly to Sean and his care in the months ahead. All contributions will be used for his recovery, including any uncovered medical expenses and accommodations he may need. We will include updates as we find out more.
We are beyond grateful for those who helped save Sean’s life, and we hope to continue saving his life as his situation develops.
