I am fundraising in memory of my dear friend and mentor, Sean.

Sean passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly. His loss has left a deep hole in the hearts of everyone who knew him. I looked up to Sean in many ways—he was a source of strength, wisdom, and compassion.

Sean had been in recovery from addiction and had made remarkable strides in turning his life around. Through his journey, he helped countless others who were facing similar challenges, always offering hope, support, and understanding.

He was a beloved father, brother, and partner—and most recently, he had started a new chapter as a Team Lead at The Neighbourhood Group, working in shelters across Toronto. In his short time with TNG, Sean made a profound impact, providing life-saving services and peer support to some of the city’s most vulnerable. His work quite literally saved lives.

Tragically, Sean passed away just weeks before his work benefits and life insurance policy were set to begin. He leaves behind two sons, aged 17 and 20, who are now facing this loss without their father’s guidance and support.

I’m raising funds to help cover funeral expenses and to provide financial support for Sean’s sons during this incredibly difficult time.
