Okay,
i will keep this simple , as it’s hard for me to ask you to help me financially , and, it will be easiest and clearest to keep it simple;
i had a very bad stroke in 20011 that resulted in two brain surgeries, loss of job, insurance, and savings , Growing up, as the youngest, and smallest of the three brothers growing up in Chicago,
Sometimes,
the three of us would take bike adventures and wander far from home, and,when ,my brothers,felt that I was lagging behind too much on the way home, one of my bigger brothers would come along my left side and ask me if; “I needed a BOOST”?
what that request meant,
was ;
did I need one of them to ride along my left side while they steered with their left arm, and pushed me , from behind with their right arm, as they pedaled me home.
what I’m asking for here ,
Essentially,
,is a financial boost to help me get back home to recovery and employment . I have worked hard to get to a point where I can now speak well again,
Toget out of the wheelchair , regain beginning use of my left leg, and, I am finally seeing some progress in my left arm, however, I could really use a boost of additional therapy ,
and ,also,the additional accessibility and mobility of a chair lift and an electric wheel chair
the electric wheelchair would allow me to get out more in my neighborhood as my walking distance is limited and I am not legally able to drive because of my seizure disorder (post brain surgery ) the additional distance and safety of an electric wheelchair will allow me To visit my kids schools, the local church, library, and Pursue consistent volunteer activity,
therapies include traditional physical and occupational, and, also, Accupuncture and
naturotherapy. Accupuncture has proven to be instrumental in beginning theprocess of left arm improvement and, I’m excited to see what naturotherapy can accomplish
i will also pursue new vocational training with these funds ,and pay off the last of my non insurance covered medical bills .Thank you for reading and considering this request .
