Hey everyone! My name is Randi, and Sean is my step dad.

On thanksgiving weekend Sean took his bike out for one last ride of the season before putting her away. Within an hour of leaving he was found in a ditch about 10 kms from the house. There were no witnesses as to what happened, thankfully someone driving by noticed him.

The road was covered with debris and acorns, this is what we think caused him to spin out of control.

The gentleman who stopped described the scene as something he had seen in a movie. He was quick to call for help and stayed with Sean until he was transported to a trauma hospital in Hamilton.

This is where he underwent surgery to amputate his left leg, a long with fractures in both arms, a dislocated shoulder that requires surgery he also has an aneurysm, which down the road he will need surgery as well.

With this life altering surgery will come huge life changing challenges. Their home will have to be fitted with ramps, and railings and I’m sure much more. We have had help from family and friends around the property, but I’m sure there will be other things that need to be done as the winter comes like snow removal, Sean usually always did these things on his own. He will be off work for quite some time, not entirely sure how long or if it’s something he will even be able to get back to.

So I am reaching out for my mom and step dad, in hopes to help them financially with these modifications around their home. I know everyone has their own things going, and with the busy holiday season approaching, any little bit will help tremendously. I would love to be able to give them some sort of relief to help towards bills, home Renos, groceries, hospital parking or anything else that might arise.
