Sean & Keianna Wolf from North Port, FL

I am trying to help support my former student and my colleague, Sean & Keianna who lost EVERYTHING in Hurricane Ian. This is the description from Keianna, “During the storm trees fell on top of my family’s home and damaged several areas of the roof. From there, the flood waters began. As my husband and I tried to stop the water from coming in the two main doors, we quickly noticed that the water was coming from all angles. We could no longer stop the waters from consuming our home and everything that we once possessed. My 5-year-old cried out in fear, but we are all safe. Our home and everything we own is a different story. As the flood waters inside of our room reached 2-3 feet, we climbed on top of the counters in our kitchen. My 5-year-old, along with our 2 family dogs, held on to each other throughout the remaining hours of the storm. We slept there while my husband slept on the stove, due to lack of space to be with us. He is our hero. In the morning after the storm, our house and surroundings roads were badly flooded, and we felt trapped. He searched in all of the water and debris for our old canoe. He carried out me and my child, along with our dogs. From there we paddled until we hit dry land a few blocks down. We are currently displaced from our home. Our car that was parked outside of our home was also flooded. We lost everything we worked for as a family, but we are still together and are still holding on to one another.”
