On June 15, 2018 Sean Gavin passed away after a long and courageous fight against cancer. Sean leaves behind his loving wife Sandra and their beautiful daughter Ella.
Those who knew Sean will tell you that he had the most generous and giving spirit. He was always the first person to step up to help a friend or to support a worthy cause.
He held events and raised money for so many, including Franciscan Children’s. He will be remembered for all of the work that he did to bring joy to the children, families and staff at the hospital. He was known for the annual cookout that he put together, field trips that he arranged for the children and for the truckloads of toys donated during the Christmas toy drive that he ran.
In addition to all of the work that he did with Franciscan Children’s, Sean was also a passionate supporter of our military and First Responders. He sponsored events and helped raise money to support our Veterans and to make sure that families were always taken care of, especially those who lost loved ones on 9/11. A selfless person who used his fighting spirit to fight for the little guy, Sean was a friend to those in need.
Sean was always the first to be there for others, and now we’d like to repay Sean’s generosity by helping his family in their time of need. Sandra and Ella were his greatest joy in life and to be able to help them through this difficult time would be the greatest gift to Sean. Thank you for your support and for helping us honor Sean; his love, his friendship, his big heart and his generous spirit.
