Sean Foor needs Emergency Medical Assistance

Donation protected
I had no idea what amount to set so I chose the max.

Sean Foor has been a staple in many social and professional circles of Cincinnati for as long as I can remember
.

-A veteran of the tattoo community, the guy with an infectious smile at a concert dancing like no one is watching (and listening to a song no one else can hear,) he is a wealth of knowledge about most anything.
•Fighter airplanes of any kind and all their stats?  Sean knows em.
•Any Volkswagen model ever made complete with each model’s variants?  Ask Sean.
•What’s the title of track 7 on Grateful Dead’s six hundredth album? Call Sean.

—For countless people who’ve met or befriended him, he’s been a mentor, an open ear to voices seeking understanding, a source of invaluable advice, and an all around inspiring human being.
•Meeting his son Nase is all you need to realize Sean raised a wonderful young man.  That’s so important and often overlooked these days.

I swore I wouldn’t write a novel and failed so feel free to scroll to the bottom half if you already know Sean’s character.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
I posted this knowing he wouldn’t.  I’ve never heard of anyone mentioning Sean asking for help.  This time it’s different and the odds are stacked against him.  Odds that would cause most to abandon hope.

-For two years he’s pushed through impossible pain and adversity just to tattoo an occasional client.

-For eighteen months of those two years, he endured treatment almost daily.  Those eighteen months would hopefully lead to him being healthy again.  Then Sean and his family learned it had all been in vain.

Sean had been misdiagnosed from the beginning.

-The true diagnosis came in July of 2023. Stage 4 Avascular Necrosis is when the head of the femur collapses and is no longer attached to the hip.

Sean had it in both femurs.
He pushed on.

-August 4th of that year he had his left hip replaced, and again toughed out a grueling fifteen week recovery.   When he was cleared by his doctors, he could start  the same surgery and recovery on the right hip.

Another fifteen weeks and he’d be functional again.  So he thought.

-While on the operating table he aspirated (choked on and breathed in) stomach acid. After intubation (breathing tube) he once again somehow pulled through.

-He will be off AT LEAST 15 weeks observing hip precautions. Only THEN can physical AND occupational therapy begin. On top of that he’ll follow up with Gastrointestinal procedures resulting from the aspiration.

-He has a wonderful partner at his side and she’s working as much as she can, but is admittedly struggling to stay current with mortgage payments and utilities.

-At absolute best, ANOTHER 4 months is required before a possibility of him returning to work. Sean needs and deserves our help, as does Pamela. We can come together and give her a chance to accompany Sean through the last chapter of this nightmare.

His tattoo shop, Tattoo Makers, is staying open by the skin of its teeth, but that’s a concern prioritized after his physical and mental health.
