Hello, I am Catie Hedrick and I’ve been a lifelong friend of the Caruso family. I am honored to help establish this fund in loving memory of Sean Nicholas Caruso. Sean is the son of Nicholas and Kendra Caruso, grandson of Robert and Brenda Caruso and Randall and Sharon Cowart.
In lieu of flowers, we invite you to consider making a donation in Sean’s memory to give back to the special needs school communities that meant so much to him. Contributions are being collected through a GoFundMe fundraiser:
Funds raised will first go toward creating a dedicated sitting and recreational area for the Exceptional Children (EC) students at Nation Ford High School, who especially love spending time outdoors during their school day. Due to the incredible generosity and outpouring of support, the initial funding goal was reached far sooner than expected, allowing the project’s scope to expand to also include a similar recreational space at Fort Mill Middle School, where Sean’s teacher has been working tirelessly for nearly two years to secure funding for an approved project without success.
These spaces will serve as places of comfort, joy, and connection—reflecting Sean’s gentle spirit and the happiness he brought to those around him. Through this gift, Sean’s legacy will continue to touch lives and bring smiles to students like him for many years to come.
