Hello, as many of you know our dad has been struggling for a couple months with cognitive and mobility decline.

He has been diagnosed with an extremely rare disorder and has a fistula deep in his brain. He has a blood clot and it has caused a blockage in a vein, which created the fistula and we do not know how long the clot has been there. This has caused bleeding and pressure in his brain and more recently, seizures. The tricky part is that this is located right at the part of his brain where all information is moving in and out and so when it's blocked for the blood flow out, blood also can't get in.

Today, July 4th, dad was taken by air ambulance to Vancouver for emergency brain surgery.
