Hello all:
Kisha & Sean are not just good friends... They are family to us and our family is in need of our help at this time. I would like to share the story of why we decided to start up a fund so that the Smith Family can recover and heal and not worry about day to day responsibilities in the process.
Here is Sean’s story:
Sean had been displaying symptoms of short breath and chest tightening. He finally went to see a cardiologist after dealing with those symptoms for a long period of time. Upon having a stress test, a blockage was revealed. It was advised by the cardiologist that Sean have a simple procedure called an angiogram...... When he went in for the angiogram, they initially thought they would have to put a single stint in to remedy the blockage. However, upon performing the angiogram, they learned that a much larger portion of Sean's arteries were blocked than what was initially thought.....so...Dr. Matthew of John's Hopkins strongly urged Sean to have open heart bypass surgery instead. If we went the route of stints, 7 would be needed which was not recommended because they didnt want that many stints. They felt that since Sean's heart was not damaged, no stroke or heart attack had happened, we needed to get "in front" of the problem before that could occur. So on August 8th, emergency bypass surgery was ordered. We had no time to prepare or process much; it had to be done. This surgery means that Sean will be out of work for a minimum of 6 weeks recovering. He will also have to enroll in a 3 month cardio (heart) rehab plan and other physical therapy.
So, with that being sad we would like everyone who is willing and able to support this effort.
Sean is a provider and this fund would assist in household bills, childcare expenses and doctor expenses.
Please give from your heart and you will be truly blessed.
Thank you
God Bless
