Hi my name is Terry Cozens and I am collecting in memory of a very dear friend of 46 years and legend of the Northern Soul Scene whom sadly passed away recently in tragic circumstances. Sean Adams the original 001 member of the 6t’s Rhythm & Soul Society, a West Hampstead regular and part of the Southgate Roofers and characters that started the London Soul scene in the 1970s. Under the tutelage and apprenticeship of his Roofing partner and original mod and soul expert Randy Cozens, Sean quickly became a Soul sponge and embraced the scene with his famously tattooed tanned body, dancing skills and larger than life character. He famously adorned the cover of Soul Galore, Sean was a loyal friend to so many who will have their own individual memories of a real character who never complained about the hand he was dealt which often wasn’t the best. Please help us by donating to help send Sean off in something more than a paupers funeral. Any donations would be gratefully received to say goodbye to our dear friend in the unique style he was accustomed to.17/6/22 After a fantastic few days we are near to our original target which I have increased now slightly as I am looking to arrange a wake with music, food and a hall which will all cost so if we can raise a bit more it will go to ensure a fantastic send off where we can all celebrate the live of our beloved friend or family member. Sean was 62 years old when he passed and he packed it full of life and his son Eddie and daughter Lizzy are overwhelmed by the show of love and affection to their dad. Apparently Shaun is his birth name but he preferred Sean.
