This is Chula, she is 3 years old and weighs about 8 lbs. Chula came into our rescue as an owner surrender because of medical conditions. Initially we took her to the vet and she was given antibiotics and an allergy shot (throughout her short life she has had many cytopoint shots without results). This helped for a shot time. On February 2, 2026 she had an antifugal bath and rewrapped. During the middle of the night she was able to get her sweater and bandage off and scratched her skin raw. I was in shock and took her to the vet. We are running some cultures to see why her skin is so bad. She has been having this trouble her whole life with her former owner. We feel she is a puppy mill dog. Because of lack of nutrition and bad breeding, she now has a compromised immune system. We have her on medication and waiting for the results of the culture. It is so sad to see surch a sweet girl in so much misery. It is going to take a lot of tests to find out how we can help her.
