Seagle Family Home Destroyed in Hurricane Ian

Hi, my name is Bella Hoffman, and I'm fundraising for my grandmother Diane, Aunt Sarah, cousins Dominick (17), Jamison (15), Calvin (10), and their dog Thor as they have lost their Port Charlotte home in Hurricane Ian. On Wednesday, September 28th, the roof of my family's home was destroyed amid heavy rain and 140mph winds from the hurricane. They were forced to evacuate their home as water rushed through the vents and light fixtures. My family of 5 and their dog spent hours through the night in their car, watching their home be destroyed before their eyes. After the storm, it was revealed that the rain collapsed the ceiling, the house flooded, the drywall crumbled, and personal family belongings were destroyed.

On top of the loss of their home, just two months prior, my family had lost our grandfather, father to Sarah, and husband to Diane, James Seagle. Over the past two weeks, they have been staying at various hotels and driving around the state to find resources. Further damage and molding occurred within the house with the addition of more rain and high temperatures. Additionally, there has been a battle back and forth with insurance over the amount of coverage that will be allowed.

Please help this family rebuild their life and a home that has been in our family for 40 years. All donations will go directly to Diane and Sarah to secure housing, order groceries and pet supplies, pay for my grandmother's medication, purchase new clothes and materials for the boys as they return to school, and rebuild their beloved home.
