German Shipyard Grand Tour 2025

What do bicycles have to do with ships? More than you might think!

Many bikes have travelled a long way at sea before they arrive in the shop.

Both on the water and on a bike, you can feel the elements, the freedom and the power of nature.

It's no wonder that cycling is becoming increasingly popular among shipping people.

And because no journey to the customer is too far for us at DNV, we are visiting the German shipyards – from west to east – by bike from 9–14 May.

We, that's Rasmus, Boris, Ansgar, Holger, Björn and Nikos from DNV.

Around 950 kilometres. One goal: to do good!

We want to collect at least €1 per km ridden – for the Duckdalben International Seamen's Club, which supports seafarers from across the world on their stopover to Hamburg.
