Rise Again Jamaica – Hurricane Melissa Relief Fund
On October 28, 2025, Hurricane Melissa, a powerful Category 5 storm, made landfall on our beloved island of Jamaica.
The hurricane devastated multiple parishes, especially in the western region, including Westmoreland, leaving families without homes, schools damaged, and thousands without access to food, clean water, and other essentials.
We are on a mission to bring relief, comfort, and restoration to those most affected — one act of kindness at a time.
♂️ Who We Are
My name is Andre Chin, a Canadian Support Worker living in Ontario, Canada, originally from Jamaica.
I am working closely with Dr. Rhonda Reid-Lawrence at The Oracles Of God Foundation, a Jamaican community advocate and humanitarian based in Jamaica.
Together, we are coordinating this fundraiser to directly support families and residents in the western parishes impacted by Hurricane Melissa. We are working alongside local volunteers, churches, and community groups to ensure that all aid reaches those truly in need.
Our Connection to the Communities
Both of us have deep personal ties to Jamaica — it is our home, our heritage, and the place where our families and friends live.
We’ve been in direct contact with residents in Westmoreland and neighboring parishes, many of whom have lost everything. We are raising funds to deliver emergency relief packages and basic necessities to these families as quickly and transparently as possible.
How the Funds Will Be Used
All funds raised will go directly toward purchasing and delivering essential relief items for affected families.
We are committed to transparency and accountability — every dollar will be used for the purposes listed below:
Emergency Essentials:
- Food and clean drinking water
- Clothing, blankets, and temporary shelter materials
- Hygiene and sanitation supplies
- Household basics and children’s needs
Detailed List of Relief Items:
- Baby wipes & pampers

How You Can Help
Your support — whether through a donation or by sharing this campaign — will help bring hope, stability, and relief to families in desperate need.
Every contribution, no matter how small, helps someone regain their footing and rebuild their life.
Together, we can help Jamaica rise again — stronger than the storm.
Thank you for your compassion, trust, and generosity.
