I’m Samantha, a first-year PhD student at the University of Michigan with the School for Environment and Sustainability. I am furthering sea otter research and conservation in Japan and the United States through my dissertation.
- In Japan, I am studying sea otter foraging ecology to better understand prey preferences and local marine resource competition.
- In the U.S., I am conducting research in support of possible reintroduction in northern California and Oregon.
