Help Sea-Bees Build a Future for Sea Turtles

Bees Save Turtles — One Mission, One Community, One Future

What if the work of honey bees could help save sea turtles?

At Sea-Bees, we believe conservation can be about more than donations. We believe that by connecting a sustainable business with a meaningful mission, we can create new opportunities to protect wildlife, support communities, and build something that continues making a difference for years to come.

Our mission is simple: Bees Save Turtles.

But the work behind that mission is much bigger.

Our Vision: Conservation Through Commerce

Sea-Bees is building a new model that connects commerce with conservation. Our first step is to develop a premium honey business using honey produced in Tamaulipas, Mexico, through the American Honey Bee Protection Agency (AHBPA) and its beekeeper cooperatives.

AHBPA raises bees, produces honey, and trains and employs beekeepers. By helping bring this honey to a larger market, Sea-Bees hopes to create greater economic opportunities for beekeepers while building a commercial operation that can help support conservation efforts.

We call this approach Conservation Through Commerce.

Rather than relying entirely on occasional fundraising, our vision is to build a business that can generate ongoing opportunities and resources for the mission. Every step forward in building Sea-Bees brings us closer to creating a stronger foundation for the conservation work we care about.

Why Sea Turtles Need Our Help

Along the coast of Tamaulipas, sea turtle conservation teams work to protect nesting areas, monitor nests, support incubation efforts, and help hatchlings reach the ocean.

This work takes dedication, equipment, trained people, and resources. Protecting sea turtles is not a one-time effort. It requires continued attention and support.

Sea-Bees wants to help strengthen this work, but we also want to take a bigger step.

Our Biggest Goal: Building a Sea Turtle Hospital

One of the most important long-term goals of Sea-Bees is to help develop a new sea turtle hospital in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

We want to help create a dedicated facility where injured, sick, or vulnerable sea turtles can receive appropriate care and rehabilitation. A hospital could provide an important resource for conservation teams working to protect these animals and respond when turtles need help.

Building a facility like this is a major undertaking. It requires planning, partnerships, land and construction arrangements, equipment, qualified personnel, veterinary expertise, and funding for ongoing operations.

We know this cannot happen overnight.

That is why we are working to establish the foundation first: building Sea-Bees, developing the honey business, strengthening partnerships, raising awareness, and bringing more people into the mission.

Our goal is not simply to make a donation and move on. It is to help build the resources and relationships that can support conservation over the long term.

The hospital is an ambitious goal, but it is one we believe is worth working toward.

Where Your Donation Will Go

Your support will help Sea-Bees and its partners move this mission forward. Funds raised through this GoFundMe are intended to support several connected needs:

- Sea turtle rescue and conservation: Supporting conservation activities and efforts to improve care for turtles in need.
- The future turtle hospital: Helping advance the planning, development, equipment, and other needs associated with establishing a dedicated turtle hospital in Tamaulipas.
- Launching Sea-Bees Honey: Helping establish the commercial operation that we hope will create continuing resources for conservation.
- Honey packaging and transportation: Covering eligible costs associated with packaging, labeling, transporting, importing, and preparing Tamaulipas honey for the U.S. market.
- Business and project development: Supporting the essential administrative, logistical, marketing, and operational work needed to get these projects moving.

These efforts are connected. The honey business is intended to help build a stronger foundation for the conservation mission, while fundraising can help us address immediate needs and work toward larger projects.

Funds will be used for the project purposes described above, with the allocation depending on the amount raised, project needs, and implementation requirements.

Why Sea-Bees Is Different

Sea-Bees brings together two worlds that people do not always think of as connected: honey bees and sea turtles.

Bees support ecosystems and the people who care for them. Sea turtles need people willing to protect their habitats and invest in their future. By bringing honey to consumers and connecting that product with a conservation mission, we want to give people a practical way to become part of something bigger.

This is about building a community around a shared purpose.

It is about helping beekeepers reach new markets.

It is about supporting the people doing conservation work.

And it is about working toward a future where a sea turtle in need has a better chance of receiving the care it deserves.

How You Can Help

Whether you can contribute $10, $25, $100, or more, your support helps us take another step toward making this vision real.

If you cannot donate right now, sharing this campaign with friends, family, coworkers, and people who care about wildlife can help us reach someone who can.

Every new supporter helps introduce more people to Sea-Bees and the idea behind our mission.

We are at the beginning of this journey. We still have a great deal of work ahead of us, and we cannot promise that every goal will be achieved immediately. But we are committed to building responsibly, developing the partnerships we need, and keeping our supporters informed as the project progresses.

Our immediate goal is to build Sea-Bees. Our larger goal is to help build a future for sea turtle conservation—including a new turtle hospital in Tamaulipas.

Together, we can work toward a model where business helps create opportunities for conservation, and where a simple product like honey can help bring people together around a cause that matters.

Thank you for believing in the mission, sharing our story, and helping us take the next step.
