Ryan's Summer Internship at DRW

My name is Ryan Williams and I am reaching out to you today to ask for your help.
I am a second year law student at Albany Law School of Union Univeristy, in Albany, NY. I currently work, in a work study position, at Disability Rights New York (DRNY) as a legal intern under the direction and supervision of Jennifer Monthie, Esq.
Disability rights and advocacy is a passion of mine, and is shared by my father. The most important memory that I have with my father in this field is the time we shared going to the Olmstead v. L.C. decision when I was 9 years old. Little did I know at the time, that I would eventually find my way to law school and want to protect and advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities. I am heavily committed to pursing a career in this area of public interest law, and I wish to provide legal services to individuals with disabilities wherever it may take me.
This summer, I accepted an internship with the sister disability rights organization of DRNY in Milwaukee, Wisconsin--Disability Rights Wisconsin (DRW). Unfortunately, because these organizations get limited federal and state funding, they cannot pay me to sustain my stay this summer.
This is where you would be assisting me. I am asking for your genoursity to donate to my cause to help me assist and advocate for the legal rights of individuals with disabilities in the greater Milwaukee area. Your generous help would provide me with the ability to have transportation between the place where I am staying and the office in Milwaukee. You would also be assisting me in having one of the most essential items, food! I am lucky to have have someone in my life that is willing to let me stay with them during this summer so I can reduce my expenses in completing this wonderful internship opportuinty.
This internship will allow me to enhance my lawyering skills, further my knowledge and practice in assisting individuals with disabilities, and will give direct assistance to those individuals in the area who are need in legal help from issues relating to their disability.
