In the early morning hours of August 2nd, Lane and Christy’s little girl, Cooper, began having seizures and was taken by ambulance to Children’s Hospital of Augusta. After being assessed by nurses and doctors there, we learned that Cooper’s liver enzymes were extremely high and blood glucose level extremely low. The doctor caring for Cooper made the decision that she needed to be transported to Children’s Hospital of Atlanta. Cooper was intubated and transported by ambulance.
On arrival to CHOA, doctors there determined that Cooper was in renal and liver failure. She was placed on CRRT which is a type of dialysis for critically ill patients. Lane and Christy were told that Cooper was in a fight for her life. And fight is exactly what she has done.
Her precious parents have not left her side. Our family is praising God for the miracle of healing that has already taken place in Cooper’s little life. She still has much progress to be made. There are many unanswered questions as to the cause and the wonderful team of doctors at CHOA are working hard to get answers. We are praying and believing that she is going to make a full recovery.
They are a one income household . Christy is a stay at home mama to Tolton and Cooper. I wanted to start this fundraiser to try to help alleviate some financial burden during this time for them.
Thank you in advance for any and all gifts. Above all, we ask for continued prayers.
