College Fund for Dakari

Hello Folks...
This is my wonderful Dakari. He's a phenomenal young man who struggles with Aspergers. Since graduating H.S. in 2012, he's been a student of Newbury College located in Brookline Mass. He strives to earn his degree in Sports Management. Every morning he wakes at 5am as he travels from Brockton to Brookline. This has cut costs that may place us in any financial burdens/debt. Over the years we've struggled with payments but conquered thus far. My health has interrupted my abilities to pay for his education...
I've had cancer since 1998 age 25, when Dakari was just 5 years old. I was pregnant with his sister, induced 3 weeks early, and 10 days later had a full mastectomy on the right side. Around 2001 a tumor was discovered on the right side of my brain. It's called a Schwannoma. It doesn't shrink, grow, or move so we watch it.
In 2007 genetic testing was done. I carry a gene called Li-Fraumeni. We recently discovered that this gene derives from my dad who passed away from cancer that same year. He had a son, who died @ age 3 (in the 70's) from a rare bone disease, and 3 daughters.
In 2009 I had the right ovary and tube removed. I'm allergic to the sun and have several issues with my skin. The gene triggers off 5 different cancers (just not all surfacing @ the same time). Brain, Bone, Breast, Skin, and Ovarian. Everything is right side as I'm also deaf out the right ear. In May of 2015 my sister (31) was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a double mastectomy. During her recovery, her 7 year old daughter had a massive seizure that following November. A cancerous mass was found on her brain which had to be removed. The mass resurfaced and she had another surgery this past February. Mya is her name and she's such a strong and positive little lady. Her story is shared on her GoFundMe page titled #teammya! Check it out...
In July of 2015 my sister (39) was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer but unfortunately lost her battle in December...just 4 month later.
This past March after 17.5 years my cancer resurfaced on the left side. April 1st I had another mastectomy.
Due to my recent cancer battle, I'm falling behind with monthly payments and continue to stress about how to keep up with this semester. Dakari still has 1 more year to go. Generally I struggle and ask no one to help. As I sit at home, I realize that my pride is jeopardizing his education. My road to recovery is a long road, and I will be starting my chemo treatments the first week of May. Only God knows the effect it will have on my body. Many ask "How can I help?" This is where I need your help. I of all people know the struggle so if you cannot help financially, just click the share button which doesn't cost a cent. I assure you that all funds will go directly to his education. You can personally contact me if you'd like to send it directly to the college instead of this site.
My family is greatly appreciative of all the well wishes, concerns, prayers, and assistance. We thank you in advance. May your lives truly be Blessed!

Sincerely,

Darilyn and Dakari
