David's Nicaragua Mission Trip

Out of more than 100 applicants, David was chosen to be a missionary this summer in Nicaragua!  Jesuit offers this social justice immersion trip for boys that exhibit leadership skills, excellent grades, a desire to serve, and a love for Catholic Social Justice.

David will be departing for Nicaragua on June 26th and will return on July 3rd.

While in Nicaragua, David will be building a wall around a school for special needs students.  The school needs the wall to protect the students from the streets that surround the school and it will provide a safe play yard for the students.

David will also be assisting in rebuilding an area of the roof of an orphanage and fixing the room that is covers.  The roof was damaged and the room it covers is now unusable since it requires new sheetrock, paint, and flooring.

The money will be used to assist in getting David to Nicaragua and anything over the needed amount will go towards the above projects.  The projects will cost 18k USD and the boys are currently hosting many fundraisers for the costs to help those in need.

I am so proud of David for having the desire to serve in his heart.  God has blessed David with such great opportunities and David always accepts God's call to serve.
