Bruce Baker Cancer Medical Fund

Hello everyone! My name is Brandy and I’m setting up a medical fund for my husband Bruce. As some as you may know already, Bruce was first admitted into the hospital the first of February this year, where he spent a week trying to find out what was going on. The first week of March found us in the hospital again, but in Dallas, where he was officially diagnosed with pleural mesothelioma. Pleural mesothelioma is a cancer that affects the lining that surrounds the outside of your lung. Thankfully this was contained to just the one area. Due to the type of cancer this is we’ve only been able to use doctors in Dallas. After meeting with an oncologist, Bruce did 4 rounds of chemo and then had his big, major surgery in July. Now we are to the final leg of his journey but are beginning to struggle financially as he has not been able to work since February. For this final part of his treatment, Dallas can no longer help him due to the type of radiation treatment that he needs. After a 2 day trip to California this week, it has been determined that the only facility that is able to do his radiation will be in California. So we are now looking at Bruce spending 35 days, give or take, to receive radiation treatments 5 days a week for a period of 5 weeks in California. We are asking for funds to help with the flights, transportation, lodging and any other medical issues that may arise. Even if you are not able to help, you can help by sharing. Thank you!!
