We are thrilled to share our TDS robotics team has qualified for the VEX VRC World Finals Competition in St. Louis, Missouri, hosted by The Robotics Education and Competition Foundation! As the only VRC middle school team in San Diego County to earn a spot in this esteemed competition, our students will be representing our greater community as they compete against over 200 middle school teams from all over the world. Robotics teams from China, Japan, Canada, Mexico, UK, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and more are all coming together for this world-wide, three-day competition. Thousands will stream this event at the America’s Center Convention Center on April 21-30, 2026.
While the World Competition is sponsored by big names like Google, NASA, Tesla, Amazon, and more, our team is responsible for the costs of traveling expenses, food, supplies, and competition items. We are estimating this event will cost our team about $20,000. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated and will go directly to funding expenses for this event, with any excess funds raised directly supporting the robotics program.
We also have business sponsorship opportunities available! If you are interested in supporting us through your business and being acknowledged as a sponsor, please contact us!
We encourage you to visit the VEX World Competition website at www.recf.org and follow our TDS Robotics team on Instagram @tds_robotics. We are grateful for any support you are able to provide — every contribution brings our students one step closer to representing our community on the world stage. Thank you for investing in the future engineers, problem-solvers, and leaders of tomorrow!
