As some of you know my niece and great-nephew had a very stressful entrance into this world. Emergency surgery was required to save them both which led to Baby Jude having to be in NICU to be monitored for damage to his brain and ground breaking measures of placing him on a cooling mat for 72 hours to prevent the body from trying to heal him too quickly. Thanks be to God they are both on the mend but will require monitoring through out his early years to see if cerebral palsy is a consequence from this experience. The medical bills are going to be astronomical for both of them and as a single Mom who will not be able to work for awhile because of this - any monetary support we can give them would help beyond words for this young family.
